Disinfection with chickens

Disinfection with chickens refers to air disinfection of the chicken house when there are chickens in the house, using a low-concentration, non-irritating or less irritating disinfectant for spray disinfection.

Benefits of disinfection with chickens: It can kill pathogenic microorganisms in the air or attached to chicken feathers. In addition, spray disinfection can also increase the humidity of the air in the chicken house, reduce dust, and cool down on hot summer days. Operation methods and precautions for disinfection with chickens:

(1) Spray disinfection with chickens (in summer: when the temperature is high at noon, it should be performed once every 1 to 2 days)

A. Clean the sprayer, preferably a special sprayer.

B. Use warm water on cold days to reduce stress on the chickens.

C. Choose a disinfectant with less irritation.

D. The concentration of the liquid should be sufficient.

E. Disinfection with chickens is to disinfect the air, so the nozzle should be at least one meter away from the chickens and the nozzle should be facing upwards.

(2) Fumigation and disinfection of chickens

B. Prepare 4-6 small iron cans and some vinegar essence for every 1,000 chickens.

C. Method: 1 liang of vinegar essence to 1 kg of water, put it in a can, put it on the coal stove, and evenly distribute it in the chicken house to let the vinegar essence water evaporate naturally.

In addition to taking good disinfection measures, the accommodation environment of feather friends also needs to be paid attention to.

The feces of feather friends are very easy to breed bacteria. If the separation measures of birds and feces are not taken, this will affect the growth and health of feather friends. For this, plastic poultry slatted floors are indispensable.
